top menu bar is missing in Android app

Recently my Gaia app doesn't open to my current location, and the top menu bar is missing. I have removed and reinstalled the app and nothing has changed. I've looked all over trying to find it. Nothing in settings. Any idea  how I can get this back? The app is pretty useless without it.

  HI:

  Yes this happened to me a couple weeks ago. Like you, I have uninstalled, reinstalled and upgraded but nothing works. The basic top bar with the core controls of the app has disappeared (Samsung tablet running android).  I have the app on my iPhone and it works just fine.  But, I like the larger Samsung tablet.  I am NOT referring to the stats bar but the basic top bar.  It is gone and there is no option to restore it.  As of now, the app is useless.  Please post a solution
