Route direction and elevation profile on iPhone vs Android

I played around a little to see if I could figure this out and I could not find exactly where you were looking for. I did find that if you click on a spot on a route you can see the elevation at that point. If you open the route it will tell you the distance, ascent and descent. Then if you open that from the route (it’s called “stats” when you open it) you can see the elevation profile of the route. The elevation profile does show the start and stop (roughly, on a graph). The last option is you could use the web version which does have exactly what you are looking for. Not ideal but if you are doing route planning, it might work ok.

Note that I've had those same problems and I do not think the web version works without a usable internet connection.

Has anybody figured out the fix to this? Used to use this feature all the time and now I have an iPhone it doesn’t work. Might have to switch apps.
