The "Snap to Trail" functionality seems broken

The "Snap to Trail" functionality (which I use when creating routes) seems to not be working for me (either in the app or on the gaiagps.com website).  I've used this functionality many times before, and I'm creating the routes in hiking mode (not straight-line mode).  Are any of you experiencing this issue?

  One issue we both seem to be experiencing is a lack of response to help with our route creation difficulties. I wonder if everyone has gone somewhere else, maybe to another mapping source; there's is not the sort of activity or response level in the Gaia community that I've enjoyed in the past.

  I find the snap to trail is OK on the PC, but the track in my phone is only doing a straight line if the screen is not on- and i can't figure out why that is. (recording a track while I'm moving)

  Check for conflicts with other applications: Other applications running on your device may interfere with the mapping application's ability to snap to trails. Try closing any unnecessary applications or disabling any background processes that may be interfering with the mapping application. Candy Crush
