Plotted coordinates - showed waypoint in WRONG LOCATION
Today two of us plotted the same set of coordinates in GAIAGPS app on iPhones, and one showed a location in the ocean, one showed a location in China (the real location was on a hiking trail in a local canyon). I have no idea how this could happen, but it was absolutely mystifying and has completely shattered our confidence in the the app.

Hi @maryjlooby,
It sounds like the coordinates you searched in the app may have been missing a negative sign or had an Easterly longitude coordinate rather than Westerly.
For example:- 36.28574, 112.29422 : Grand Canyon, Arizona
- 36.28574, -112.29422 : Central China
As described here, the app accepts coordinates in the following formats:
- Decimal Degrees: 39.06301, -120.03327
- Degrees, Minutes, Seconds: 39º 3' 46.85" N, 120º 1' 59.78" W
- UTM: 10S 756690 4327959
