Contrast on Topo and Streets, especially of minor roads, tracks/unmaintained roads/high clearance roads
I would like to see more contrast when displaying Gaia Topo and Gaia Streets. Especially minor roads (white) almost blend into the background. Dirt roads are often hard to distiguish from tracks, boundaries and other terrain features.
This is (of course) less the case on the high-end screen on my iPhone 12, and much more of a problem on my mid-range Galaxy Tab A.
I suppose this boils down to either of two options:
- an in-app setting for colouring (a subset of) terrain features; logically more like the setting of the colour intensity than of the colour as such;
- a more contrasting overall background. The latter option would of course do very little for the ability to discriminate between dirt roads, tracks and terrain features.
For the sake of context:
I currently use Gata Streets and Gaia Topo (meters), displayed on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A mini tablet attached to the dash of my 4x4. Before that I have used an iPhone.

I can definitely see how it would be helpful to adjust the contrast on Gaia Topo.
Right now, you can switch this layer to dark mode, which may help: Switch Between Light and Dark Mode
We don't have plans for anything like this at the moment, but I'll create an internal request for this to keep track.
