Feature Request | Option to Position a Map Layer On Top of Routes & Tracks
Not plannedI have made a custom map layer of large, color-coded, and visually emphasized map labels for roads, cities, towns, and states, which has been great, because I can position it on top of any base map layers or combination of map layers and overlays that I want, while only maintaining one consistent set of labels that is easy to read and process at a glance, which is great while driving, for example.
But I've been using Gaia GPS a lot since I got it, and almost any rural or undeveloped area within a day's drive of our house has become littered with past routes and tracks. I don't want them off entirely, and I already have other features requestion/suggestions regarding improvements to their display, so this isn't going to focus on any of that, but rather that they are on top of any and all map layers, always. This is generally desirable behavior, with one major exception that comes to mind – labels. Increasingly often as we make and take more and more routes, labels are effectively being erased from the map, haha. If we could have the option to position a map layer on top of the overlays, or perhaps have the map overlays show up as rearrangeable layer(s) with the rest of the maps, it would be a nice improvement to the user experience.
Even more so if that would give us opacity sliders for the overlays as well, which could also make them less intrusive and distracting without removing them entirely.
