Depending on the map layer there are licensing restrictions which Gaia has to abide by. My suggestion would be to download Gaia Topo for a large area (you can download entire states in the US) and then build up the smaller sections you need.

If you have a track that you are about to take the quickest way to download maps for that area is to use the Download Maps for Track feature. That is on the track details page.

What you are asking for may never be possible depending on the map layer. I would list which ones you are trying to download. Then maybe someone from Gaia GPS can give you a more specific answer.

    Hey Simon,

4XOA hit the nail on the head. If it was possible to download an entire source in one go, we'd let you do it. But there are limitations (licensing and technical) that prevent this. Like 4XOA recommended, downloading Gaia Topo for a large area and then smaller areas with Vic Topo is a good game plan. Gaia Topo is a map that we built in-house, so it doesn't have the same limitations. You can download all of Victoria at max zoom as one map and it'll only take up half a gig.

EDIT: I updated the title of this request to better reflect what you're asking for. Feel free to change it if you like.
