Routes not available in CarPlay

A little background: I going to switch from Garmin which I’ve been a long time user of. But their product line seems to be changing and I’m not a fan. So after sampling several gps softwares ive decided on Gaia. I recently purchased an Apline iXL-F309 and was very happy to read Gaia is working with CarPlay. I’m trying to minimize the clutter of devices and equipment most overlanders seem to use which the Alpine unit does for me. However after install said unit Gaia doesn’t seem to be able to access my longer routes. The shorter local routes are available. We are planning a trip from Montana to California and those routes are not available.

I had no problem creating and updating them on my Mac and sync’ing them to my iPhone and iPad. Even though everything works in both mobile devices CarPlay is having trouble. Any help would be great.

  Routes must be created on the Gaia GPS website or in the app with driving mode:

  • Gaia GPS and Apple CarPlay
  • Create and Measure Routes on gaiagps.com
  • Create, Edit, and Measure Routes in the app

  
  Imported routes will not work in CarPlay.

  Did a little more investigation. All my routes were created on the website and all are driving routes. What I found that may help. is all my routes that are under 114 miles are available. All routes that are over 129 miles are unavailable. I have photos from that Alpine unit showing that info. Don't know if that helps but it what I found.

  Due to user safety concerns, Apple has strict limits on Carplay apps. To make the interface simple, Apple limits the list to 24 items.
  
  The list is sorted from closest to farthest. The route you want to follow should appear in the list once you are close to the start of it, but if needed you can delete routes from the app.
  
  Deleting a route from the app archives it on the website, so it's not gone forever.  Here's how to unarchive a deleted route: Archiving, Unarchiving, and Recovering Lost Data
