    Hey Jim, I appreciate your response.

    However can you please address the question I asked, I'm not having an issue with deleting maps I'm having an issue that the product doesn't work..
    Please fix the product which means users can select and download areas, and those areas download relative to the speed of their connection.

    So I did not say I'm having trouble deleting maps, if Gaia has problem keeping an accurate database of what maps a users have deleted, that is not the user's issue that is a guy that issued a fix. I'm not interested in hearing that there is a workaround for it. What I'm asking is when will this product work as advertised.

    Yesterday I had a similar issue.  My saved map folder shows I had a map that easily covers my entire area in Gaia Topo. However, when turn on airplane mode and try to view the map, it does not display. Very concerning.

    I'm having an issue with offline maps just like johngo. My offline maps literally do not work. They used to work just fine. I'm not sure if a recent update messed something up?

    @kerry,

    I'm sorry that you had trouble deleting map downloads.

    This comes up occasionally, and I have an open bug report for this issue. I apologize for the trouble.

    As a workaround, you can 'sync' your maps with gaiagps.com and then delete them from the website. The next time you sync your device, the maps will get removed:


    For downloading new maps, will you try the steps in this article and let me know if that resolves this issue for you?

    We identified a bug in iOS v2021.4 that was causing maps to load slowly or not display properly. This bug has been fixed in the newest release, v2021.5. Please update as soon as possible to receive these changes.

    Here's how to update the app on your device:

    • Open the Appstore
    • Tap your Apple ID icon in the top right of the "Today" tab
    • Find Gaia GPS in the listed apps
    • Select "Update"
    • Or select "Update all"
