When will this be a functional product?
Seriously, when will this work?
Downloads are nonfunctional, which renders the entire product unusable.
I have been trying to use this for about 4 months now on a long term trip, and it simply does not work. If you are able to get a map set downloaded it becomes workable, but still clunky, buggy and slow.
I have tried 3 different devices (all android), without fail the app gets stuck trying to download a map set that has been deleted (not always the same one). Reinstall to try start over and the initial sync will not complete (we I gave up after 2 full days on 2 devices).
If there is a road map that lays out where the product is going (I just mean functionality, not new features) maybe that would be acceptable, but his is just really bad and not usable. The basic function of getting maps onto you device for offline use is the primary requirement for these products, and the system just can't do that.

I'm sorry that you had trouble deleting map downloads.
This comes up occasionally, and I have an open bug report for this issue. I apologize for the trouble.
As a workaround, you can 'sync' your maps with gaiagps.com and then delete them from the website. The next time you sync your device, the maps will get removed:- First, sync your account to the website by following these steps: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003523547-Back-up-Your-Data-to-the-Web.
- Log into your account on gaiagps.com> Click the drop-down menu in the top right> Maps> Use the checkboxes to select the maps you need deleted> Click Delete at the top of the screen
- Then, open the app again and sync your account.
For downloading new maps, will you try the steps in this article and let me know if that resolves this issue for you?

We identified a bug in iOS v2021.4 that was causing maps to load slowly or not display properly. This bug has been fixed in the newest release, v2021.5. Please update as soon as possible to receive these changes.
Here's how to update the app on your device:- Open the Appstore
- Tap your Apple ID icon in the top right of the "Today" tab
- Find Gaia GPS in the listed apps
- Select "Update"
- Or select "Update all"

However can you please address the question I asked, I'm not having an issue with deleting maps I'm having an issue that the product doesn't work..
Please fix the product which means users can select and download areas, and those areas download relative to the speed of their connection.So I did not say I'm having trouble deleting maps, if Gaia has problem keeping an accurate database of what maps a users have deleted, that is not the user's issue that is a guy that issued a fix. I'm not interested in hearing that there is a workaround for it. What I'm asking is when will this product work as advertised.
