Trying to pick up from the APRSdroid integration discussion from two years ago. The idea to integrate one specific application limited to one platform is probably the reason why this didn't go anywhere. Instead I propose: 1. Provide a map layer that represents real-time data from APRS-IS (http://www.aprs-is.net/Connecting.aspx)

  Hey Brendan. We don't have any plans for this at the moment, but this can serve as the feature request for an APRS map layer. Thanks for opening this!

  For those who land here in the future, note that this post is for a map layer with APRS data. This is different than the request for integrating Gaia GPS with the APRSdroid app. That's located here. 

  EDIT: I updated the post title to better reflect this differentiation.

  I would love this. This would be a huge addition to Gaia for overlanders/adventurers.

  I would enjoy having this feature.  Our group https://www.landops.org would quickly vacate other apps to join Gaia.

  I would also like to see APRS Droid integration. I'm sure you could get more subscribers with this feature.
