National Forest Closures Layer
Not plannedPlease add a layer showing national forest closure areas, closed roads, and closed trails.

Agreed!
Would be helpful to have a major forest/park closure layer. I'm not talking about small 'muddy trail' type events, but big events often related to fires.
From some quick googling some US Forest Service regions have maps, but other do not. I think US Park Service also have park-specific maps.

This would be highly useful. Living in the west, we have wildfires every summer with closures that affect our plans. Sometimes the closures are much larger than the fire to aid the firefighters transportation corridors, and these areas are not always obvious. A closure area would be a very helpful layer, add to our safety, and help avoid getting in firefighters way.

here is the usfs map showing closures. i'd add it myself as an custom source xyz tile map but it is not in that format. should be easy for someone at gaia to make an overlay layer from this.

This is very much needed as a "live layer" like the wildfire related maps and would be relatively easy to implement since many national forests already maintain these maps online for the public and their own staff. Here's a map for all NF closures in Oregon and Washington: USFS Pacific Northwest Region: Emergency Closures (arcgis.com)
I'm not sure if the forest service would charge Gaia GPS to incorporate the data, but I would think it's in the forest service and the public's best interest to disseminate this kind of information for safety reasons.
