Route Creation Modes
I use Gaia as a navigation tool for off-roading on a dual sport motorcycle. When I create a route, sometimes roads that do exist don't actually appear in Gaia (I'm using the Gaia topo base map). 99% of what I do happens on rough county roads in West Virginia and many don't appear as roads on a map.
My problem is that I want to use Gaia to create routes and the snap to road feature of using the cycling or driving mode is incredibly helpful UNTIL the road doesn't exist on the map but does in reality. I need a way to switch between straight line and snap to road routing modes without it change the entire route, just sections of the route.

Hi morales.n,
Sorry for the trouble planning routes.
As you have noticed, Snap-to-trail uses trails displayed on the Gaia Topo map source.
Here's how to add this map source:- Add and Manage Map Sources in iOS
- Add and Manage Map Sources in Android
- Add and Manage Map Sources on gaiagps.com
Gaia Topo, as well as several other sources in the app, are based on OpenStreetMap (OSM) data, an Open-source and public mapping project.
If a road does not exist in OSM, you can actually contribute to OSM in order to add trails and features to the map. Read more about this and find instructions here: Contribute to OpenStreetMap
If you decide to contribute any updates to OpenStreetMap, you'll see the changes in Gaia GPS in two to three weeks.
