Edit existing route from from start

Hi,

Anyone know how to shorten a pre existing route from the start. 

For example; a 10km hike now starts 2 km further down the track than previous. So instead of re-drawing the whole route, Id just like to cut 2 km from the start then add 2km to the end.

Adding to the end is easy, but cutting from the start seems to be not possible.

Any suggestions - thanks.

  Upvote for this, and other additional features for trimming a track: It should be possible to trim a recorded route at any point. E.g. having had a lunchbreak during hike and forgetting to pause recording makes a disturbing mess on the map. Similarly, GPS hick-ups can cause the track to jump to another county in between. Or I would just like to add a piece of track (a few "waypoints") manually in the middle of a track to fill in the gap left for forgetting to restart recording after a lunchbreak... 
  
  I realize GAIA is not aiming to be a track/route editor tool, but since it also has a web interface for easier planning and working with tracks and routes, could it perhaps add a few relevant features?
