Selective display of tracks, routes, waypoints
I like Gaia GPS android, but there are some things that drive me crazy. For example, displaying tracks/routes/waypoints is an all or nothing choice. Even looking at a saved track and tapping 'Show on Map' won't show it unless you enable the map overlay to show ALL tracks. This makes the display way too cluttered if you have a lot of tracks in the area. You can't even find the track you just picked in the mess. How about a track attribute (or waypoint or route attribute) to make it show or not on the map. Pretty much every other hiking app has this option. I see this was requested 4 years ago, so I'm not holding my breathe.

Still no movement on this I see. The ridiculous all or nothing display of waypoints or tracks makes no sense. Every other tracking app out there has a display:yes/no attribute for at least recorded teacks. But not Gaia. Is it so hard to implement?

You can hide the old tracks by going to saved tracks and clicking the eye symbol to hide. But there doesn't seem to be the equivalent facility to hide old waypoints.

Is that something new? Anyways, the whole process of hiding tracks is still cumbersome. One toggle to display all or display none. With display all on you then have to go to each track and make them invisible. I have over 500 tracks recorded so that's a bit of a pain. Next we need a toggle to turn off visibility for all saved tracks. Then we can turn on only the ones we want to see.

GAIA supports the show one track feature for ios, not Android as of 2/2025

Darn those Apple users always getting new features first. Hopefully Android won't be far behind.
