The option on Android to use external SD storage is misnamed and misfunctional. The option isn't "sticky" and only moves existing data from internal to external SD storage. An subsequent downloads go back to the internal storage. In fact "changing the root folder" continues to show internal storage. There must be some Android parameter for an APP that allows the user to use the Files APP to move data from internal to external. That option is available on a number of other APPs, but not available for GaiaGPS, so it appears to be an oversight or logic programming error. The selection of the external SD for storage should be named "move existing data to external SD" to be clearer to what it's actually doing. And there should be an option for "using external SD for storage" which is "sticky" and actually does that.
