    Hi Kootenay,

I think you're using Gaia Topo - we're aware of a few areas where the contour lines are not rendering properly like you've described.

If you switch to OpenHikingMap HD (a very similar map to Gaia Topo, based on the same data) - the contour lines don't have the same problem.

OpenHikingMap HD is one of the dozens of maps you can use in Gaia GPS. Here are instructions to change your map: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003525027

I have the same problem with the funny contour lines on Gaia Topo. Some maps don't have them, such as OpenCycleMap HD, but they don't have all the information Gaia Topo has and they have less contrast. I like the high contrast and wide roads of Gaia Topo (I have some variant of colour blindness). The OpenHikingMap HD is not in my list of map layers (including the premium maps). I am willing to go premium, if this includes a map like Gaia Topo but without the funny contour lines. But how do I know?
