Waypoint icon sync
Others have remarked that the waypoint icons that are added on the Android app take up too much map space. I agree. They should definitely be smaller.
Even though I would like to use a number of different waypoint icons, I tend to only use the blue and red pins, for two reasons:
The first is the size of the icons on the app (already stated), but the second is that the waypoint icons selected in the app don't sync to gaiagps.com. If I add a tent icon in the app, it shows on gaiagps.com as a pin. These should sync.
In general, gaiagps.com is lacking. Pre-planning hiking routes is a very important part of the entire process, and this is much more convenient to do on a desktop or laptop than on a phone or tablet. A stand alone desktop app would probably be best (a la Garmin Basecamp). But even a web app could be much improved.

To add to this comment, icons edited in the cloud won't sync to the app either. I imported a bunch of tracks and waypoints for a trip i'm planning and all the waypoints showed up as red pins. I spent a bit of time editing them on line (tents for camping, rivers for watercrossings, etc) only to learn that they don't sync to the app. Would love to see this fixed.
