    I'm having the same issue I purchased GAIA TOPO and trails on Android in Oct 14th for 19.99.  My phone died and I am trying to reinstall.  After installing the app, I went to settings->Account & subscription - > restore purchases.  It says its restoring but nothing happens.  I also tried to login to my account.  Apparently I never set one up because when I try to reset the password it says they don't have that email.  I'm trying to decide if I should try to dispute the charge with Google and try another app. I like this one but I'm not sure how to access it at this point. Please tell me I didn't pay $19.99 for a month. That would explain it but I hope that's not the case.

    Hi Charlie,

    I think I see the issue. It looks like your GaiaPro subscription didn't renew in the App Store. If you follow these instructions to view your current App Store subscriptions, is GaiaPro showing as active? Let me know ether way and I'll tell you the best next steps.

    Please update the app and everything should work as expected. We changed the Android app from $19 to free to download with a membership fee. Since you purchased the app already, you get a free lifetime membership.

    They must have just updated it.  I tired to reinstall an hour ago with no luck. I just tried again and got a message about being grandfathered in. Looks like they fixed it.  So Your dev team had it fixed in about 2 hours.  Thanks some pretty good response time. THAHNKS!

    I had already done that and paid for the app in October I believe. It said I was good through October 27, 2018. I will be relying on it for the weekend so may just have to re-purchase it or something. Can you look my account up please?

    Hello I'm having the same problems. My phone crashed I got a new phone. Installed app signed in told to update subscription. I told it to restore and nothing happens...help I loved the app

    I paid for the $10 'regular' membership, and when I log into the website through a computer it shows that.  But my android app says my subscription level is Free.  I can layer different map layers on my computer, but on the mobile app Map Layering is  greyed out and says I need a premium subscription.  I also don't seem to have an option for Overlays on the mobile app, but on the website through a computer I have this option (My Tracks, My Waypoints, Public Trips). 

    Is the different functionality between the mobile and desktop versions supposed to be this way, or does my phone not show them because it's reflecting a "Free subscription" instead of the Member subscription I have on desktop?

    Matt,

    Sorry for the confusing wording in the app -- it should not say 'free' membership. I checked your account and your membership is active and working, but we just need to update the wording there.

    A Premium Membership is required to use overlays and layer maps. I'll let the team know that we need to fix the feature availability on gaiagps.com.

    I bought a one year subscription about a week ago and it is only showing me the free version still. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and logged back in but I still am having the same problem. I don't think I need to update the app since it is a fresh download... What should I do?

    I'm sorry you are having trouble accessing your membership.

    It looks like you may need to restore your purchase in the app. Can you try:

    • Open the app> Settings> Account> Restore Purchase


    Your membership should then appear under 'Subscriptions.'
