Amazing what happens when you are patient, and appreciate the design process.

I’d say it’s amazing what happens when people start talking with their wallets. I too re-upped my subscription once the beta finally came out and I gave it a spin. I don’t think anything in the process is broken here- users placed enough importance on a feature to take their money elsewhere if they didn’t get it. Company responded when they realized that it was a paying user priority over other features. This issue just had to be elevated from an ask. Unfortunate that it couldn’t be addressed as an ask but I don’t fault Gaia for naturally having other priorities. Glad the feature is now integrated and hopefully with a few more tweaks it settles in as a normally supported part of Gaia. Happy customer

Highly doubt that there were enough people that unsubscribed to make that much of a difference. Gaia is the best there is, most of us would have stayed regardless. It was probably more of an incentive to be the first over the competition rather than physical money leaving their cash flows.

Fair point. I still have my eye on CalTopo their app in beta is working well. No use in putting all your eggs in one basket, certainly not for how much this costs every year

I think it would be sick to see google do something like this. Their sat imagery is unparalleled.

I went from never being a subscriber to now being a premium member.
