Map download bug or missing feature?
Map download bug or missing feature? I need to download maps for the west coast of the U.S. on Android.
There's the painful 100,000 tile limit but the problem I have is I have no way to see which tiles are already downloaded or see if there are any download gaps in 1000 square miles.
How is this best done?
EDIT: I click 'Show on Map' but I see nothing

Hi Nelson,
There isn't a way to see your previously downloaded sections on Android, but you can generously overlap download areas - the app is smart enough to not download the same tiles twice.

Is there an ETA for this feature? I see it's there for iOS. I can't use Gaia if theres a risk of being in the wilderness with missing maps. OR is there a way to by-pass the 100,000 tile limit?

Nelson,
There isn't a way to bypass the tile limit, however, you can decrease the tile size of your map download drastically by decreasing the resolution (zoom) slightly from the download screen.
That feature isn't in development, but if you'd like to see it added on Android, feel free to create a feature request on the Android forums here: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/115000386547

Greetings.
I understand there has been a 100,000 tile limit to downloads (I'm using iOS, if important). I've downloaded maps close to this size. But now I'm being limited to 10,000 tiles? What's going on?
Thanks,
Brad

Hi Brad,
MapBox and NeoTreks brand maps have a 10,000 tile limit due to the higher cost for those maps.
