Needs an inking layer, just like that on Microsoft's Maps app

Now that we have the Apple pencil, this app could benefit greatly with the addition of an inking layer.  This layer should function exactly the same as the inking ability in Microsoft's built in maps.  The inclusion of this feature in GaiaGPS would make the app feel like walking around with an infinitely sized paper map, and would be great for when you want to use an ipad pro to plot out areas of interest or quickly mark up a map.  Please add this feature!!

  This would be awesome feature for Search and Rescue IC's to track where they have sent crews and resources. 

   

  I would like to add to description.

  The ability to add/save/delete multiple layers to a map that are able to be drawn on with apple pencile in IOS and stylus in Android.   This would give you the ability to write on your maps (in colors) as a layer that can be removed or saved.

  It would also turn a smartphone into a fabulous tool for orienteering cartographers, another niche market where some software is very expensive.
