Bulk import of .gpx data
Having to upload one .gpx file at a time when you have hundreds of them take a crazy amount of effort. It makes it so difficult to migrate over from other GPS systems. I would so like to bulk import .gpx files.

Please implement the ability to bulk import gpx coordinates. This, coupled with gaiagps making a new folder for every import, has been driving me crazy for the last two years.
Here's what I have to do.
1. Import gpx file. Make a folder name 'import'.
2. View folders.
3. Select the import folder.
4. Select the waypoint in the folder.
5. Use 'Add to folder' and select the folder I want the waypoint to go in. Note that this usually moves the waypoint, but it is buggy and will sometimes add the waypoint.
6. View folders.
7. Select and delete the import folder.
So each step uses about 8MB of network data and takes 20 seconds. It takes about 2 minutes for each waypoint, so when I have 20-30, this sucks.
Of course, you could fix gaiagps.com so that when you import it doesn't just create a new folder with the same name as an existing folder. That would speed things up a lot.
Or you could have an interface to drag the tracks & waypoints between folders.

Hi again,
1. I think the best option for you is to import with iTunes: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003639048-Import-GPX-and-KML-files-in-Gaia-GPS-for-iOS#itunes
Since it allows you to quickly drag and drop files.
2. Another method would be to use another program, like Google Earth (KMZ/KML) or Adze (GPX) to export multiple files as one large GPX file, then upload to gaiagps.com/upload.
With this method, be careful to not exceed the limit of 1,000 tracks/waypoints per file.

I'm happy to help. A few questions:
1. What type of device will you be using Gaia GPS on (Android, iOS)?
2. What file format are your tracks in?
3. What type of computer do you have (Mac, PC)?

@derek
Thanks for posting, I can definitely see the value of adding the ability to bulk import GPX files and add data to an existing folder. For now, I recommend using http://www.gpxeditor.co.uk/ to merge all of your GPX files into one file to import into Gaia GPS. -
I found a work-around for uploading in bulk for android users:
1. Move the gpx files to your phone with a usb cable
2. Look up the files in android file browser on your phone
3. Select all and via the share symbol on the top of the screen send the files to gaia
4. Sit back and relax. It will take some time to import but you don't have to select them one by one:)

This works well to convert 10 gpx in to 1 gpx for import. I just email it to myself then have gaia open it from the email
