Membership
I have a new Android tablet and have tried paying for a Premium Membership, however, at the bottom of the payment screen it says it is "unavailable". The standard membership is unavailable also. I can pay using my Mac iOS computer, but I do not know if that would transfer to my Android tablet which uses a different e-mail address? Is there a way to pay using my Android tablet or is there a reason I can not get the membership?

Hi,
Can you update the app to the most recent version? I think we fixed the issue with the 'unavailable' message in a release last week. Sorry about that!
If you purchase on gaiagps.com, however, it will work in the app, too -- just log in to your account.
Also, if you purchase on gaiagps.com, I can give you a discount!

mdieryck, you have a free lifetime legacy membership since you already purchased the app.
The Premium Membership is the rebranded version of GaiaPro, which was an upgrade available in the previous versions, too.

Hi Ashli, hope you can help with similar problem. I did pay the fee to convert to 5-yr Gaia Pro last year when you guys went to monthly/yearly fee instead of App fee. I can use my GaiaPro features, layering maps, premium maps( ex.France Topo) on my iPhone, but can't login to Gaia Pro on my Android device, when I do login, it says 'success' but still Gaia Pro features don't work, always brings me back to login page, asking me for a monthly fee or yearly fee.

Hi blouin_dion,
It looks like you have a standard Membership rather than a Premium one. I sent you an email to explain further.

@JasonChristopher
Yes, you can sign up for either an annual Premium Membership which is billed once a year or a 5-year Premium Membership which is billed once during the 5 year period. Please use this to sign up for an annual Premium Membership and save 10% off your first year: -
Hello Gaia GPS, I purchased (I believe) a standard membership last year before walking the JMT. At the time it was the "old" version of the app (i.e. no yellow border around the app icon). I was notified of the release of the new app (with yellow border), which I downloaded (now have both). I note that on the older version of the app I have the full standard functionality, which includes ability to download basemap sections for use offline. However, when I try to do this on the newer version it says I need to purchase a subscription. On the membersihp page it says I have 548 days left in my "trial" membership, and does not seem to recognise my membership (as the older app version does).
Am I missing something? Is there some reason I can download map sections on the old app version but not the new one? I'd be grateful for your help with: 1) confirming the type of subscription I have, and time left on the current subscription, and 2) figuring out how to get the full (standard) functions working on the new app.

@langejorstad
I'm sorry you are having an issue downloading offline maps in the new version of Gaia GPS.
Your free trial Gaia GPS Membership in the new app will expire on 11/10/19.
Deleting and reinstalling the app will correct the issue and offline maps can be downloaded once you log back in with your Gaia GPS account. I apologize for the inconvenience
