Problem snapping a long route
I was attempting to create a route that was about 80 miles long (Collegiate West loop of the Colorado Trail. The Gaia app absolutely refused to let me complete the route, without changing to straight lines between points. I know how to snap route lines onto trails so that's not the problem. I tried over and over. This trail has MANY forks and crossing trails, so I had to place a lot of the little blue dots that are used to snap a route. The app allowed me to finish about half the route every time, then it would stop functioning properly. I don't know if there's a distance limit, or a blue dot reference limit. I ended up just placing a lot of way points instead. Has anybody else encountered this problem when trying to snap lines on a long route?

I responded to your other post about creating a route. Here's the link to my response: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115007140147-Route-no-longer-follows-the-trail. -
Nathan, the map of Collegiate West you made for me opened fine for me at home. But my wife was not able to open either the one I forwarded to her, or what you sent her directly by downloading onto her account. She ended up using the map I made that had multiple way points instead of the snapped line on the entire route like you sent me. They ended up taking a wrong turn and went 14 miles down the wrong trail. As a result of that, and considering the daily foul weather they were experiencing, they decided to come off the trail.
