Map Download Location

I use Gaia on my ipad. I am planning a big trip from the US to Argentina. However this is obviously a massive amount of map data. Can I change the location of where the maps download? IE to a wifi harddrive like Lacie Fuel? A 2TB harddrive would be perfect to download the maps for the trip. I have looked in the settings but can't find anywhere that lets me control where the map is downloaded to. Not sure if anyone has experience with trying this. Thanks

  It is not possible to store offline maps on an external harddrive with the iOS version of Gaia GPS, sorry about that.

  Hi eizen, ho did you endup solving the situation, i do have a similar question.

  Also even that is not possible to store the date on a external device, is it possible to store it on a sdcard on a android device?

  On Android, you can transfer the app contents onto an SD card for saving storage space. You can read more about that here: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003524047
