GaiaCloud Map web page buggy?
Greetings-
First post to this forum so apologies for starting negative and apologies too if my topic has been covered to death before.
When I go the GaiaCloud map webpage (usually defaults to: https://www.gaiagps.com/map/?layer=CalTopo) - the webpage usually locks up, or the search field won't take text, and the base map is all pixel-ated.
I assume this is the best starting place but it seems really buggy.
It there is better place to start to search for tracks and trips?
Thanks

Hi,
A few questions:
1. What browser do you use?
2. What is the browser version number?
3. Does a certain action, like zooming, cause the map to freeze?
4. If you switch to a different browser, does that help? I typically recommend Google Chrome.

@ Ashli-
I have been using IE and Firefox, but switching to Chrome did make things work really well - thanks!
With both Firefox and IE, I started to get "a web page is slowing down your browser - what do you want to do?" messages a few days ago just as the basemap loaded. Often, I could not even zoom or type words into the search field at all, so basically it seemed any action was problematic.
So far, Chrome seems great. In general, I prefer the UI of Firefox so forget that Chrome probably works better.
Thanks again!
Doug

Doug,
Thanks! We're investigating.

The web map causes Firefox to crash on my mac.
Chrome is still painfully slow when panning/zooming using the layers feature.
Sometimes it works ok, but if you try to move too fast it hangs up pretty badly.
I use the web map on Chrome on both a high end PC as well as my Macbook.0
