Using Gaia to notify family of current location

I am going into the back country and want to be able to upload my position daily so that family can track me to ensure safety. Is this possible with Gaia as there will be no cell service where I am going.

  I'm sorry, but this is not possible with the Gaia GPS app. I recommend checking out the SPOT personal locator beacon.

  InReach (https://explore.garmin.com/en-US/inreach/) is a great tool, too. My wife and I use them to communicate when no cell service is available. Your family can even track you live on the garmin website, if you set it up.
