Notification in certain distance from waypoint

Hi,

I'm looking for option to get notification in certain distance from defined waypoint. Naturally it will be the best with Apple Watch haptic feedback.

I would like to use that option when mountain biking in the way that I can create waypoint on some crossroad and 50 m before that crossroad I would like to received notification on my Apple Watch. In that way I would know to turn or check the position on that crossroad without looking on the screen all the time during ride.

It would be nice If I could setup different notification in several distances, for example: 100 m, 50 m, 10 m

  This is a great idea. I've always wanted GPS apps to remind me in some way when I return to my start point. I almost always forget to stop recording when I get back to my car. With this I could at least set a waypoint at my start point and then have the notification trigger when I got back to it.

  Very much agreed. I think it makes the most sense for this option to be available when using the "Guide Me" feature to a waypoint.  An alarm would be best IMO because I usually have my phone on silent, but if that isn't technically feasible, then a vibration alert and simple sound alert would be tremendously helpful.

  This is a feature I've really appreciated from Ride With GPS and I agree that I'd like to see it in Gaia as well.

  Doesn't need to be too fancy.  Even just a standard Android notification would be useful.

  This would be great for hiking also.  I have this with the Garmin GPS and would love it with Gaia.  Just need a simple standard phone notification when within 50m or some distance of a waypoint

  Looks like this message board has gone silent. I really like having proximity alarm for manually added waypoints as a feature on my Garmin GPS. 

  Why hasn't GAIA been able to add this feature? Seems pretty simple and would be very useful.

  Hi Gaia!  How goes it?  You guys gonna be able to get this done?  Been over 4 years now your loyal paying customers have been asking for this.  Its resident on Garmin and Alltrails...how come we don't have this feature?  Any response would be appreciated...really.  any.  just sayin. Lets Go Gaia!!

  Gaia/Outside: PLEASE add the option for a sound notification when near a waypoint in the “guide me” feature. This is so helpful to let me know I’m on the right track during my activity without constantly checking my app. My 15 year old Garmin has this, would hope this can finally get added to Gaia.
