Hi everyone,
You are now able to view waypoint labels on the map.- Head to gaiagps.com/map to view the newly updated web map
- Click the layers icon > Map Overlays > click 'Waypoint Labels'

I would agree that a larger waypoint library is needed. Specifically for fire/SAR ops. Incident command post, staging, div breaks etc. there’s a common symbology already existing , just needs added. How about some option to import user created symbols?
Thanks for your consideration

Agree with this, or to just show some points. I fish in remote places with friends and we had to create our own physical map and names for islands/areas so we know where each other is located by radio. If we use the GAIA app, we have to either label things with waypoints and then click into each waypoint to see where we are (then the other person has to do it as well), or use the physical map.
It would be nice to even bypass the waypoints and just put text labels on things. That or just show labels for points, but only some points (so my map doesn't get too cluttered). Maybe include an option on the waypoint to "Show text on map" so that some show and some don't.
It's fine to click into a waypoint to see the details of a fishing hole (most of what we mark), or mark the rocks for safety purposes, but for looking at the map we need some text to show all the time. Also, is there a search functionality? The area we fish is quite large and quite remote. -
This is what we currently use, we labeled all of these points over the years so we can find each other by using the radio. It's not had to look at a waypoint to call out over the radio where you are, but it's hard for the person trying to find you to figure out where you are. This would make it so much easier.

Hey @Mariner9,
Sorry for the trouble.
Can you try toggling the Waypoint Labels off and then back on again?
