Snow cover layer?

Hi! I recently discovered that NOAA publishes snow cover analysis kmz layers daily at https://www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/earth/.  My feature request is that gaia provide the ability to overlay this data. It would be incredibly useful for route planning and navigation.

  I'll second that. Great for spring backpacking trips. I wonder if this could be added as a custom map source? I don't think so since it is a kmz file.

  I opened the latest file in Google Earth and looked at where I was (La Plata Mountains in SW Colorado) and it's only so-so accurate but could still be helpful.

  I'll add myself to this one. Brilliant idea! Sierra hikers could definitely use the best snow info possible this year.

  Yes please, would make spring bear hunts a lot easier.  This is a great idea.

  In the spring, I spend time weekly researching whether snow has melted off the trails that I want to hike in the weekend.  Adding this layer to GAIA would be a huge benefit.  It would also be something that NO OTHER APP has.
