Augmented Reality Features for GaiaGPS?

I was wondering if there are plans for augmented reality style implementations within GaiaGPS. I saw some demos of the Apple ER capabilities, in iOS 11, and really hoped that something that would appear in GaiaGPS soon.

Specifically, the ability to overlay a route, onto the screen, to be able to see through your camera with a line superimposed to show you where the trail is supposed to be.

  Hi,

  Yes, we are considering adding an AR feature, but I don't have any sort of timeline yet.

  Great, thanks. 

  A simple overlaid line, that shows the track, as in the above pic would be a nice feature to help people stay on the right path for a hike.

  Wondering if there’s been any motion with this development, specifically, POIs, peaks, and route overlays would make a powerhouse upgrade! Even if it was an additional add on, etc.
