New version freezes as black and white sqaures

I have loved using Gaia, but now in the new version it the map details will disappear and be replaced by black and white squares.  I can still see routes and waypoints but they are floating in a sea of white with no map in the background.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I am using IOS. Other suggestions, as currently it is unusable.

  The above error was related to a map source not loading correctly.
  
  If you are having an issue viewing a map source, please click “Submit a Request” above and include the name of the map source along with the coordinates of the area.
