Editing and combining tracks
I have 2 partial tracks from a hike where Gaia was having some problems freezing up. Is it possible to edit either or both of those tracks and then combine them? And, is it my phone (Galaxy 7) or is Gaia being very slow in letting me see my Tracks?

Currently, it is not possible to merge tracks within the app, but you can add them to a folder to view the cumulative stats for the two tracks. However, you can crop a track within the app.
You can also use a third party software like Adze to combine the tracks. Then import the results back into the app or gaiagps.com.
As for speed of viewing your tracks in the app, can you send the activity logs for Gaia GPS to support@gaiagps.com so we can take a look?0 -
Adze seems to be for iOS. Is there a program for PCs / Windows you recommend?

I would recommend checking out these programs for editing and combining GPX files on a PC:

This data is three years old. Any updates to the software or user friendly third party software for editing and merging tracks?

GPX Editor continues to work well for me. I also use ExpertGPS when in Windows, but most of the time I'm in the Apple world now.

@hwhomes
Some other programs I recommend are Adze if you are a Mac user and GPS Track Editor for PC.

After trying different tools presented on this site and elsewhere, I found this post very helpful:
Using a Notepad app and copying the different waypoints in one file is easy and quick!

Why hasn't GAIA incorporated this into the program by now. I often have routes that are split up into individual days that I need to combine.

I would also really appreciate a feature within GAIA to merge, split and edit tracks more in detail. To crop at either end is there, but I would also like to delete or add some waypoints/sections in between as I often forget to either stop recording for a break, or turn it on again after the break... :/
Two ways to record multiple day hikes in a row are 1) by leaving the app in "pause recording", or better, 2) saving the track after a day and "Resume recording" from the tracks "more" menu on consequent days.1 -
Would be a very useful feature. I have tracks that are created from start and stopping a GPS track session. Later, I need them merged.
