Synching takes too long to remove deleted items from synched folder

So I'm testing Gaia GPS with a friend and put a bunch of items into a folder. I shared that folder with him and then realized I didn't want him to see some of the waypoints and tracks I had shared. I removed those items from the folder but he was still able to see them. It took a long time (more than an hour) but the folder finally correctly synched so he was only able to see the waypoints and tracks I wanted.

Why did it take so long to synch?

  Hi Joel,

  Did you make these edits from the Gaia GPS app or on gaiagps.com?

  Probably both at some point. Let's say I made the last set of changes just from the website. Shouldn't those sync to the device pretty quickly if the person getting the updated info was connected and using the app?

  Syncing times vary depending on the amount of data that needs to sync and the WiFi/cellular connection strength. Also, Gaia GPS syncs your data in a specific order, so the delay may have been due to Gaia GPS syncing other data before the folder you edited.
