Adjust track start and end
AnsweredI use Gaia to record tracks when driving in the mountains. I don't always remember to stop recording the track when I leave the trail resulting in extra, unneeded information. For example I end up with the track from the trailhead all the way home. It would be really nice to be able to just trim the head and tail of the track.

Hi all,
This is still possible. Here are the instructions: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003525627-Crop-the-Start-or-Finish-of-A-Track

I agree that this would be a useful feature, and thought that I had done it using gaiagps track edit in the past. but I can no longer figure out how to do it.

Well I feel foolish, works as expected! Only comment is on longer tracks the precision is a bit too coarse. Perhaps consider implementing the iOS scrubbing method of giving finer control when you slide your finger up. See here: https://youtu.be/V2UU95ykJQc?t=41

This information no longer seems current.

I would really like to see editing track function on gaiagps. I realize I can do it on my apple phone, but it is very inaccurate to slide a finger. the computer screen is much bigger and the function should really have precision editing. It seems silly that the phone app has more function than the laptop website.

Thanks for posting.
In the app, you can enlarge the cropping tool by rotating your device to landscape mode.0
