Screen Real Estate
New options for getting more screen real estate, especially in landscape mode on an iPhone (vs iPad though both could benefit) would really be appreciated.
Possible ideas:
Long pressing on full screen icon gives options for turning off screen elements. Why is Top & Bottom controls grouped into a single option? I'm sure there is probably a reason but separating these would give more options and flexibility.
How about an "Auto-Hide" option instead of just plain turning off elements? If Auto-Hide is enabled hide elements based on Map Display Options and then when touching the screen these elements could slide back on. Seems like that would be consistent with other IOS applications. That way when a user isn't interacting with the screen and is just viewing it for navigation more of the screen could be used for Map/Navigation.
This has been previously suggested but when in the directional navigation mode (crosshairs selected with forward facing tracking on) moving the current position to the bottom of the screen and give forward looking map more real estate would be very helpful and consistent with all other navigation apps like Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Garmin interfaces.

I'd second the auto-hide option. That could be quite useful. But I'm fine without it if the Map Display Options worked as expected:
Are the Map Display Options meant to change based on if you are currently in Full Screen or the normal screen? So there is effectively a separate dialog for each mode? It seems to work that way for Top & Bottom Controls but not for the Stats Bar and the Compass. I'd like to have the Stats Bar off in full screen mode and on in normal mode, but that toggle appears to be universal and changes in both options screens when I change it in one.
Thanks.
