Show downloaded map boundaries in Main Map

We need to see the downloaded map boundaries in the Main Map window to confirm we have our required area covered before heading out in the Wilderness. The current map window is too small..

  By tapping the preview map on the offline map's details page, it is possible to view a larger, interactive map with the downloaded area highlighted in red.

  Yes, but we need a Layer in the Main Map so we can easily confirm that we have a specific area covered without having to tediously look through all our Saved Maps.

  If you're on the main map, you could tap the + icon, and then 'download maps'. On the download screen, areas downloaded from the same source you are currently viewing will be highlighted there, too.

  Huh? The + icon creates waypoints or routes ...?

  In the Gaia GPS app on iOS you can tap the + icon to create routes, waypoints, download maps, or create areas.
