I'm wondering if the bearing provided is a Magnetic bearing that I can use with my declination-adjusted compass, or a True bearing.  It appears to be Magnetic.

In the Android app, the bearing reading displayed while using the Guide Me feature is the true bearing between your current location and the destination location.

Thank you.  I have a compass with declination adjustment and had confused myself a little.  Since the compass is already adjusted for declination, then it is in "True North" mode.  This is why I can take the bearing directly from Gaia GPS Guide Me mode, pull out my compass and point it to the same bearing and get the same destination.   In other words, the magnetic needle in my compass still points to magnetic north.  But since I have already adjusted the compass housing itself to account for my declination, I can set it for a True North bearing and be dead on.  I can read a True North bearing from Gaia GPS, or measure a True North bearing from a paper map, and my declination-adjusted compass can be used to shoot the same "True" bearing.  I do that sometimes, to save battery on the GPS.  I just take a reading from the GPS, and then put it away while I use the compass.
