If Gaia GPS is unable to locate your current position, you may need to allow the app access to your device's location services. This article will show you how to adjust iOS location services if Gaia GPS isn't locating you. Please note that in order to record tracks with Gaia GPS in the background, the iOS Location Services settings need to be set to always, and this can also improve accuracy.
Ensure GPS is Enabled for Gaia GPS on Your Device
1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
2. Next, tap on "Privacy" and then choose "Location Services".
3. Tap on Gaia GPS
4. Choose to "Always" share your location with Gaia GPS and turn on 'Precise Location' for the best GPS accuracy

In the original app i could open GAIA app on my iPad and see where we were on the map and course would track basically anywhere in North America or Europe or Caribbean. My location and current track no longer show. I have locations services always on for Gaia. Have latest Apple iPad Pro (12.6”) and IOS version 11.2. Anything i am missing to activate this feature again? Thanks for your help.
Hi Allan,
If you tap the crosshair icon in the top menu bar - is it able to find your location?
