Uploading a file from other mapping software or devices allows you to import your tracks, routes, or waypoints into your Gaia GPS account.
Upload GPX, KML, or FIT files on the web at https://www.gaiagps.com/upload/ or by navigating to that page from the account menu displayed at the top right:
Name the folder that will contain your imported file, select the file you want to add to your account, then click "Upload":
Uploaded files will be filed into the 'Uploads' folder. You can move or reorganize your folders either at gaiagps.com or in the app:
- in the app:
- Gaia GPS has a limit of 1,000 tracks or waypoints per imported files. For files exceeding that limit, we recommend creating a custom map layer based on the waypoints.
- Larger files may take longer to import: you will receive an email when the import has been completed.
