Messy Tracks - Stopping and resuming foot travel makes tracks virtually useless!
HIKING/RECORDING TRACKS VIA APPS: Due to GPS variance, walking/stopping for any length of time creates a MESS! (Gets even worse if you forget to pause/stop as shown in IMAGE BELOW.)
There should be a setting (on the apps) that disregards adding additional track points to a track when subsequent points are within a given radius..... ie: Set "track variance allowance" to X meters. (Dedicated handheld GPS units offer this feature/setting making recorded tracks clean & usable.)
Another (less desirable) fix would be to provide a "record interval setting" where user could specify (in seconds up to ~300) how frequently to save a track point.

Note: Image/track above is what you record if stopped in one place for ~30 min.(Without remembering to pause tracking.) Also, even just walking with intermittent pauses creates messy tracks due to GPS variance.....
FWIW: Presently, "cleaning up tracks" with gaia appears to require an export & usage of a 3'rd party tool?!?!?
