Gaia mapping with the brightest screen I can get Help please

I have a Iphone 6s plus.. my friend has a Samsung S21 ultra.   We both use the Gaia gps  app.  My problem is the Samsung screen  brightness puts my Iphone to shame.  Much easier to view out on the trails.    Questions. if I move to newer model   Iphone can I get closer to his Samsung.?  (I love my old Six except for this brightness thing.)   Or is there a older Samsung model that has exceptional brightness?   .  I might buy a used Samsung and dedicate it to mapping use with Gaia and stay with Iphone for general use.
