App freezes immediately when opened.
I am on an iphone 11 pro. I have been using Gaia GPS for around 5 years as a professional guide, and haven't had any problems. Unfortunately today I opened the App and noticed it was updating downloaded maps (maps I had downloaded previously for offline use). The App was unable to download the old maps completely after 6 hours, and the little spinning wheel that appears in the upper left of the screen when the App is updating is constantly spinning. The App is slow, freezes, and I am not able to zoom-in/out or use any functions (such as download new maps). I have quit the App, turned on/off my phone, and changed the map downloads auto-resume function off. Unfortunately the problem persists. Any suggestions?

Updating could take as long as the original download time.
So 6 hours may not be enough, check storage amount listed by Gaia & iPhone.
Look in download status and in the saved list resume download of one item at
a time in the order of download status. Gaia can try to do too many at once.
Freezing is probably a symptom of the overload and if left running long
enough will eventually resume working, but it could be days.
Anyway that has been my experience with my iPhone 13 pro & iPad Pro.1 -
i was trying to open Gaia on my Ipad and it was just quitting and not opening. I looked and there was an update for the Ipad so I installed the update and then it opened Gaia with no problems. Hope this helps;)
