Imported gpx files no longer display any stats beyond distance and vert
So as of the afternoon of April 7, 2022, gpx files imported into Gaia no longer display any stats other than distance and vert. I know this because I have a workout from the morning of 4/7 that I imported and it shows all the stats as normal; I have another workout from later that afternoon and Gaia no longer displays any stats other than distance and vert. I figured this was a bug and so have waited a month to see if it'd be fixed. It has not.
Some other information:
• No stats data is displayed on gaiagps.com NOR the Gaia app.
• Other systems such as Strava display the metrics just fine for imported gpx files so it's not my .gpx files.
• I have confirmed this is happening with other Gaia users who import gpx files.
This makes using Gaia as the central repository for all my activities pretty useless. For example, in the past it was very helpful to look up historical tracks and use their stats for planning future activities. I would find a similar track, open it and see what my total time was, my pace, etc. No longer.
Why don't I just record my tracks with Gaia? I do as a backup. But I find that a phone stuffed into a pocket is not nearly as accurate as a watch with a specialized gps chipset on my wrist that has much more frequent exposure to clear skies/satellites. Another reason? Bike computers. I want to put my gravel and mountain bike tracks into Gaia. Using a phone on a bike sucks. Another reason: Gaia's stats are super basic and very limited. My Garmin devices (watch, cycle computer, InReach, dog collar GPS) offer way more detailed and helpful metrics. Another reason: since I clearly use a ton of hardware devices (Garmin ecosystem) and Gaia does NOT make HARDWARE, I'd like to have my data be in sync across all the digital platforms I use (i.e. Garmin Connect, Gaia and Strava to name three that each have different purposes and strengths).
So what happened? Did something break? Was this done intentionally? If so, why remove such helpful data that is embedded in the gpx file? Obviously it was working just fine for YEARS.
The missing data fields: Moving Time; Pace; Total Time; Stopped Time; Moving Speed; Avg Speed.

Haven't heard anything from the Gaia team and the imported tracks are still not displaying the missing data. So until we hear something, my assumption is that this is an intentional removal of functionality according to some walled garden business "strategy". Or something.

Here's a weird oversight. The data metrics are getting suppressed but for some reason, they will still import and display the notes field from the .gpx file. Only a matter of time on that one.

This is really annoying. Gaia, do you have any info on this?

Hi all,
Sorry for the trouble.
Please contact Support here so we can look into this further. Please include the GPX file when you fill out the form.

This is fixed now, thank you!
I imported a .gpx track from yesterday and the metrics are visible again.
Because having historical data visible in Gaia is important for my route/trip planning, I'm now painstakingly going back and re importing all my gpx files since April 7 so that their data is visible too. Re-importing the files seems to be the only way to make the data visible, but despite being tedious, at least it works.
