Routing method selection using Guide Me

I've searched but cant seem to find an answer. Running Gaia on an Android tablet and when I enable Guide Me to a waypoint it will route via roads. Is there a way to have it route as a direct line instead?

  Thanks for using Gaia GPS.
   
  This feature was added to the Android App in version 2021.11.  You should see the option to select "Turn-By-Turn" or "Straight Line" guidance when selecting Guide Me for a Waypoint:
