Route in "Saved Items" shows distance of 805 mi, but when edited, it shows 7804 mi!

I created a route months ago and the distance was correct in both edit mode and when viewing it in "Saved Items"; however, when I am checking it today, it shows the route is 7,804 mi!  It seems the route is repeated nearly 10X.

The elevation profile is repeated as well.

I noticed that whenever I originally created the route, I used chromium and today I used firefox, so I also went back in with chromium and have the exact same problem, my route is repeated nearly 10x.

What happened, will it fix itself or do I need to do something?  Not only is that a problem, but I feel like it made the map hard to use because there are more points on the map.
