Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Android 4.4.2 can't download gaia?

I'm running a samsung galaxy tab4 with android 4.4.2 on it and was under the impression gaia is supposed to work with android 4.1 or higher.  Is there somewhere to download an actual gaia file to transfer over to my tablet to install or anybody had problems with device not being compatible?

  Gaia GPS requires Android 6 or higher.  You can use your account on multiple devices, so you won't need to get a separate subscription for a new device.
