    Fascinating. I’m new and that was my first attempt at help from this “community”. Is it a tradition to provide useless answers? Are you making a clever reply that actually answers my reasonable question? Are you showing off your sci fi acumen whenever and wherever you can?

    Hey Jon,

    The app back-calculates stopped time for every 50 GPS points that come in. If you haven't moved out of a certain radius for a chunk of time, then it adds that to the Stopped Time calculation.
    It's always 0 if the speed between points is less than 0.1 m/s, but we look for areas with very little movement for 20+ seconds and filter them more heavily, so it is more likely that they will come in under 0.1 m/s.
