ArcGIS data sources
AnsweredIs it possible to import or otherwise get a data source for ArcGIS into Gaia GPS? I'm thinking specifically of the Wiscland2 data, but this could also include other layers that are accessible by the WI DNR public facing page but I don't think are available on Gaia GPS.

Hey @cbrace1,
It looks like most of the data on the WI DNR site is either available as a KML or shapefile.
You can import a custom map of that data by following these steps:
If the data is only available as WMTS or WMS, follow these steps:

Hi Melanie, Mapbox Studio was the approach I started with after finding that same blog post. However, the wiscland2 data I downloaded (link) does not have KML or SHP files. There is a TIF for each data layer. I tried to import the level4 TIF but Mapbox Studio throws an error that only 8-bit TIFs are supported. There is also an OVR file but I don't think that's supported. Were you finding this data as KML/SHP somewhere I'm not seeing?

Hey @cbrace1,
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there is an easy way to import the wiscland2 data into gaiagps.com.
It is possible to import GeoTIFF files directly into the iOS app but I'm unsure if that will work with this dataset.
You can learn more about that here: Import maps using MBtiles or GeoTiff in iOS
Another option that you may want to consider is using QGIS to manipulate the dataset so that it can be imported to Mapbox Studio or Gaia GPS.
